Glen Taylor, owner and founder, started his career with Carlson Wedding Service while attending college. He later purchased the business, assembled a passionate leadership team and dramatically expanded the firm’s capabilities through acquisitions and start-ups, bringing its spirit of ingenuity across markets and international borders.
Under Glen’s strategic vision and leadership for the past 35 years, Taylor’s products, services and partnerships have taken many shapes and forms, but its core personality has not changed: focus on the customer and create opportunity and security for Taylor employees. As a result, Taylor, one of the largest privately held companies, has evolved into a successful communications, marketing and interactive solutions provider. Leveraging the diverse capabilities of its 70+ companies across the globe, Taylor helps millions of customers celebrate events, achievements and significant milestones as well as assists businesses in expressing their brands and differentiating themselves in the marketplace.
Taylor attended Harvard Graduate School of Business and earned his BS at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Outside of Taylor, Glen is active in other business endeavors, such as the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx, and many civic and charitable causes.
Todd Alexander’s career with the Taylor organization spans over 25 years. Alexander is focused on supporting our businesses in building strong customer relationships and growing sales. His priorities include overall sales execution, ensuring we have the “voice of the customer” represented in our decision-making, and working with other leaders throughout the organization to develop key client relationships. Prior to joining the Corporate Team in early 2004 as the Vice President of Leadership & Culture, Alexander served as President of Schmidt, a Taylor Corporation Company that serves the publishing and direct mail markets. He later went on to lead Schmidt’s overall sales, marketing, and customer service efforts before taking on the president role. He is involved with Sunday School Education, Youth Basketball Coaching, and the Adopt-A-Highway Program. Alexander earned an undergraduate degree in Mass Communications and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse.
Mark Deterding joined Taylor Corporation in 2009. He is responsible for working with business leaders to develop core capabilities that will ensure differentiation and competitive advantage in the markets which are served by Taylor Corporation. Prior to this, Deterding held leadership positions with RR Donnelley and Banta Corporation and was a Featured Speaker for the Ken Blanchard Executive Forum in 2007. He is an accomplished executive with a proven track record for developing purpose-driven, values-based teams that deliver enhanced P & L performance through improvements in sales, operations, customer service, procurement, information systems and distribution strategy. Deterding has a bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts Technology from Illinois State University. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Unity Foundation in Alexandria, MN.
Jeff Eccles joined Taylor Corporation in 1984. He has held a variety of leadership positions throughout the organization, including a position at Carlson Craft where he began his career with Taylor Corporation. After serving in a variety of leadership roles across the organization, in 2000 Eccles moved into a VP of IT role at Taylor Corporation, where he was responsible for technology strategies. Eccles' responsibilities now as CIO include overall leadership of technology and information services that span the organization. Eccles has an associates degree from SCTC. Eccles serves on the board and best practices committee for the Metropolitan YMCA in Minneapolis.
Ron Hoffmeyer has worked for Taylor Corporation and its companies for over thirty years. Hoffmeyer started his career with Carlson Craft and has served in numerous leadership roles utilizing his sales, operations and general management skills. In his current role as EVP, Hoffmeyer is responsible for working directly with a number of the Taylor businesses, expanding Taylor's international market presence, and leading Taylor's SEO strategy and initiatives. Hoffmeyer earned his undergraduate degree at Minnesota State University and his MBA at Pepperdine University.
Greg Jackson has worked with and represented Taylor Corporation for more than 20 years. He currently serves as Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel for Taylor Corporation. In this role he oversees corporate services including administration, legal, sourcing, risk management, safety and environmental and more. Jackson is also responsible for organization-wide strategic functions including community relations. Jackson received his undergraduate degree from Pillsbury College and his J.D. from University of Minnesota Law School. He serves on the Bethany College President's Advisory Council.
Tom Johnson joined Taylor Corporation in 2002. Prior to Taylor Corporation Johnson served as a Vice President for a Fortune 500 company where he acquired nearly 20 years of experience in financial management and analysis. As CFO, Johnson is responsible for financial oversight, including accounting, tax, treasury and investments. Johnson received his undergraduate degree from St Cloud State University and his MBA from Cardinal Stritch University. Johnson serves on the Board of Directors at Immanuel St Joseph Hospital.
Larry Lorenzen joined Taylor Corporation in 1986 and has been leading the organization’s merger and acquisition efforts for over 20 years. He currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Development. In this role he oversees corporate services, which includes mergers and acquisitions, business and financial analysis and operational accounting. Prior to joining Taylor Corporation, Lorenzen held positions within the corporate and operational finance functions of several companies involved in the manufacturing of capital goods. Lorenzen earned his undergraduate degree at Minnesota State University.
Steven Singer joined Taylor Corporation in 1996 when Amsterdam Printing became part of the Taylor Corporation family of companies. Singer served as the President of Amsterdam nine years prior to joining Taylor. At Taylor, Singer has served in a variety of leadership roles, including Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Portfolio Officer. In his current role as EVP, Singer focuses on corporation planning, acquisitions, and helping businesses identify and capitalize on market opportunities and explore new areas of growth. He received his undergraduate degree from Hamilton College. Singer currently serves on the board of Rockler Corporation.
